The project is being developed by Urbaser.
The project is expected to generate 102.425GWh electricity and supply enough clean energy to power 45,000 households. The project is expected to offset 94,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.
The process of combustion will be adopted in this project to release the stored energy from the feed. Refuse which is a kind of municipal solid waste will be used as a feedstock to power the project.

Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2024.
