Redhills Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 632 acres.
The project generates 210,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 18,500 households, offsetting 178,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.
Development status
The project construction commenced in 2014 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in December 2015.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Rocky Mountain Power under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years from 2017. The contracted capacity is 80MW.
Contractors involved
Swinerton Renewable Energy was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.
JinkoSolar (U.S.) was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 340,784 modules at the site.
Advanced Energy Industries supplied 80 of its AE 1000NX inverters to the project site.
The project is utilising horizontal single axis trackers supplied by Array Technologies.
First Solar, NovaSource Power Services and SOLV were contracted to render operations & maintenance services for the project.
