Description
The project was developed by Rabigh Arabian Water & Electricity. Acwa Power, Oasis Power One Conventional Energy and Water and Rabigh Refining & Petrochemical are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 80%, 19% and 1% respectively.
It is a Steam Turbine with Cogen power plant. The fuel is procured from Rabigh Refining & Petrochemical Co.

The project got commissioned in July 2008.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Rabigh Refining & Petrochemical under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years.
