Description

The project is being developed by Charoen Energy and Water Asia, Doosan Enerbility and Korea Western Power. Charoen Energy and Water Asia and Korea Overseas Infrastructure & Urban Development are currently owning the project.

Phou Ngoy is a run-of-river project. The net head of the project will be 10.6m. The project is expected to generate 3,278 GWh of electricity.

The hydro power project consists of 20 turbines.

Development status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2025. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2029.
