Description
The project was developed by Enel Green Power Mexico S de RL de CV and Sowitec Group. Caisse de depot et placement du Quebec, CKD Infraestructura Mexico and Enel Green Power Mexico S de RL de CV are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 40.8%, 39.2% and 20% respectively.
The project generates 350GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 270,000 households, offsetting 163,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.
The project has 87.5m high towers.

Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to General Motors under a power purchase agreement from 2016. The contracted capacity is 34MW.

Enel Green Power Mexico S de RL de CV was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the wind power project.
Nordex was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 43 units of AW125/3000 turbines, each with 3MW nameplate capacity.
Enel Green Power Mexico S de RL de CV is the O&M contractor for the wind power project, commencing from the year 2016.
