Description
The project is being developed by Nigeria Agip Oil. NNPC, ConocoPhillips and EniPower are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 60%, 20% and 20% respectively.
It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The fuel will be procured from NAOC Kwale.

Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in April 2005.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project will be sold to Power Holding Company of Nigeria under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years.

Saipem is expected to render engineering procurement construction services for the gas fired power project.
