Description

The project was developed by Nobles 2 Power Partners and Project Resources. ALLETE Clean Energy, Tenaska Energy and Bright Canyon Energy are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 49%, 45.9% and 5.1% respectively.

The electricitiy generated from the plant has offsetted 772,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development status

The project is currently active. The project construction commenced in 2019 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in December 2020.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Minnesota Power under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years from 2020. The contracted capacity is 250MW.

Contractors involved

M. A. Mortenson was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the wind power project.

Vestas Wind Systems was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The wind power project consists of 74 turbines.

Vestas Wind Systems is the O&M contractor for the wind power project, commencing from the year 2020.
