Description

The project was developed by Enbridge and EverPower Wind Holdings. Enbridge and Canada Pension Plan Investment Board are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 51% and 49% respectively.

The project supplies enough clean energy to power 22,950 households, offsetting 258,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development status

The project is currently active. The project got commissioned in December 2016.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Salesforce under a power purchase agreement for a period of 12 years from 2016. The contracted capacity is 40MW.

Contractors involved

White Construction was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the wind power project.

New Creek (New Creek IA) is equipped with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy G97-2.1 MW turbines. The phase consists of 45 turbines with 2.1MW nameplate capacity.

New Creek (New Creek IB) is equipped with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy G90-2.0 MW turbines. The phase consists of 4 turbines with 2MW nameplate capacity.

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy is the O&M contractor for the wind power project. The operation and maintenance contract commenced from 2016, for a period of 5 years.
