Description
The project was developed by Nakoso IGCC Power GK. Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Mitsubishi Corp Energy Solutions, Banpu Power Investment, Mitsubishi Electric, Tokyo Electric Power Co Holdings, JERA and Tohoku Electric Power are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 40%, 26.6%, 13.4%, 10%, 5%, 2.5% and 2.5% respectively.
It is a Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle (IGCC) power plant. The fuel is procured from Spring Creek Mine.
Development status
The project got commissioned in April 2021.

Mitsubishi Power was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the coal fired power project.
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries was selected as the turbine supplier for the Coal fired project. The company provided 1 unit of M701F4 gas turbine.
