Description

The project was developed by Akuo Energy Uruguay and Sowitec Group. Akuo Energy Uruguay and Eurus Energy Holdings are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 56.5% and 43.5% respectively.

The project generates 166,161MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 27,644 households, offsetting 54,214t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development status

The project is currently active. The project got commissioned in January 2015.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Administracion Nacional de Usinas y Trasmisiones Electricas under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years.

Contractors involved

Vestas Wind Systems was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 14 units of KD-6205 turbines, each with 3MW nameplate capacity.

Vestas Wind Systems is the O&M contractor for the wind power project for a period of 10 years.
