The project was developed by Consorcio Energetico Cruzeiro do Sul. Companhia Paranaense de Energia and Eletrosul Centrais Eletricas are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 51% and 49% respectively.

Maua (Maua II) is equipped with Andritz Hydro francis turbines. The phase consists of 2 turbines with 5.1MW nameplate capacity.

Andritz Hydro supplied 3 electric generators for the Maua (Maua I). The generator capacity is 130.4 MVA.

Andritz Hydro supplied 2 electric generators for the Maua (Maua II). The generator capacity is 6.14 MVA.
