Description
Malakoff and Tenaga Nasional are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 75% and 20% respectively.
It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Distillate Fuel Oil. The fuel is procured from Petronas.

The project got commissioned in November 2002.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Tenaga Nasional under a power purchase agreement for a period of 21 years.
