It is a Steam Turbine power plant that is used for Baseload. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is lignite. In case of shortage of lignite the plant can also run on High Speed Diesel. The fuel is procured from Sindh Engro Coal Mining Company Mine.
