Description
The project was developed by Amman Asia Electric Power. The project is currently owned by Korea Electric Power with a stake of 60%, Mitsubishi and Wartsila Development & Financial Services.
It is a Internal Combustion power plant that is used for Baseload. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is heavy fuel oil. In case of shortage of heavy fuel oil the plant can also run on Natural Gas.
Development status
The project got commissioned in February 2014.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to National Electric Power under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years.

LOTTE Engineering & Construction and Wartsila were selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the oil fired power project.
Wartsila was selected as the engine supplier for the Oil fired project. The company provided 38 units of 18V50DF engines.
