Description

The project was developed by BHE Renewables and Geronimo Wind Energy. The project is currently owned by BHE Renewables with a stake of 100%.

The project supplies enough clean energy to power 120,000 households, offsetting 1,102,311.3t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Omaha Public Power District under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years from 2016. The contracted capacity is 400MW.

M. A. Mortenson was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the wind power project.

Vestas Wind Systems was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 200 units of V110-2.0 MW turbines, each with 2MW nameplate capacity.

Vestas Wind Systems is the O&M contractor for the wind power project. The operation and maintenance contract commenced from 2016, for a period of 5 years.
