Description
The project was developed by Enel Green Power RSA and juwi. Khana Energy, Enel, Qatar Investment Authority and Others are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 35%, 27.5%, 27.5% and 10% respectively.
The project generates 573,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 115,000 households, offsetting 600,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Eskom Holdings SOC under a power purchase agreement. The power is sold at the rate of $0.059kWh for a period of 20 years, starting from 2021. The contracted capacity is 144.9MW.

Nordex was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 46 units of AW125/3150 turbines, each with 3.15MW nameplate capacity.
