Description

The project was developed by Eight Rivers Energy and Ferrostaal. The project is currently owned by Neoen International with a stake of 50.1%, MPC Caribbean Clean Energy with a stake of 34.4% and Rekamniar Capital.

EREC Paradise Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 80 hectares.

The project generates 82,000MWh electricity thereby offsetting 30,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development status

The project got commissioned in June 2019.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Jamaica Public Service under a power purchase agreement. The power is sold at the rate of $0.085kWh for a period of 20 years, starting from 2019. The contracted capacity is 37MW.

Contractors involved

Eiffage Energia S L U and Schneider Electric France were selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

Eiffage Energia S L U is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project for a period of 20 years.
