Description
Naturgy Energy Group, Engie and Mitsui are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 47.5%, 35% and 15% respectively.
It is a CCGT with Cogen power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Liquified Petroleum Gas. The fuel is procured from Trinidad and Tobago.
Development status
The project got commissioned in March 2000.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to The Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority under a power purchase agreement for a period of 22 years.
