The project is being developed and currently owned by AMEA Power, Dzimuzwo Consulting, Local Community Trust and Ziyanda Energy. The company's ownership stake in the project stands as 51%, 23.25%, 23.25% and 2.5% respectively.

Doornhoek Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is planned over 200 hectares.
