Description
The project is being developed by Eolien Maritime France and WPD Offshore France. EDF Renewables, Enbridge, Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and WPD Offshore France are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 42.5%, 21.7%, 20.8% and 15% respectively. The project will be spread over an area of 50km². The turbines will be mounted on fixed monopile foundations.
Development status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2021. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2025.
Contractors involved
Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy will be the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company is expected to provide 64 units of SWT-7.0-154 turbines, each with 7MW nameplate capacity.
Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy is expected to perform operations and maintenance for the wind power project for a period of 15 years.
