Description

The project was developed by Korea Electric Power. Korea Electric Power and NongHyup Financial Group are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 65% and 35% respectively.

Chitose Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 1,090,000 square meters.

The project generates 35,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 10,000 households.

Development status

The project got commissioned in October 2017.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Hokkaido Electric Power under a power purchase agreement. The power is sold at the rate of $0.35kWh for a period of 20 years. The contracted capacity is 28MW.

Contractors involved

Korea Electric Power and LS Electric were selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

LS Group was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 130,000 modules at the site.

Korea Electric Power and LS Electric were contracted to render operations & maintenance services for the project.
