Description

The project was developed by Asia Pacific Renewables and CWP Renewables. Others, Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand, JERA, Diamond Generating Asia and Kyuden International are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 50.66%, 25.41%, 11.97%, 5.98% and 5.98% respectively.

The project generates 349,217MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 50,000 households, offsetting 293,343t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The project has 80m high towers.

Development status

The project is currently active. The project construction commenced in 2013 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in November 2014.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to EnergyAustralia under a power purchase agreement for a period of 15 years from 2014. The contracted capacity is 113.18MW.

Contractors involved

Downer EDI Works was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the wind power project.

Boco Rock (Boco Rock I) is equipped with GE Renewable Energy 1.7-100 turbines. The phase consists of 58 turbines with 1.7MW nameplate capacity.

Boco Rock (Boco Rock II) is equipped with GE Renewable Energy 1.7-100 turbines. The phase consists of 9 turbines with 1.62MW nameplate capacity.

GE Renewable Energy is the O&M contractor for the wind power project for a period of 10 years.
