Description
The project is being developed by Castle Peak Power. CLP Power Hong Kong and China Southern Power Grid are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 70% and 30% respectively.
It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The power plant can run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant will be natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant will run on Ultra Low Sulphur Diesel. The fuel will be procured from Second West-East Gas Pipeline, Yacheng Gas Field.
The project will emit 4,149,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.
