Description

The project was developed by Pattern Energy Group and Samsung Renewable Energy. Samsung Renewable Energy, Pattern Energy Group, Public Sector Pension Investment Board and Bkejwanong First Nation are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 42.5%, 21.7%, 20.8% and 15% respectively.

The project supplies enough clean energy to power 35,000 households, offsetting 312,746t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development status

The project is currently active. The project got commissioned in October 2017.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Independent Electricity System Operator under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years from 2014. The contracted capacity is 100MW.

Contractors involved

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 40 units of SWT-3.2-113 turbines.

The wind power project consists of Tubular Steel towers supplied by CS Wind Canada. These towers are around 99.5m high.
