Description
The project was developed by Constellation Energy Resources, Procter & Gamble Paper Products and Sterling Energy International. DCO Energy and Procter & Gamble Paper Products are currently owning the project.
The project generates 385,000MWh of electricity.
The process of combustion has been adopted in this combined heat and power (CHP) project to release the stored energy from the feed. Agricultural by-product and wood by-product are used as a feedstock to power the project.
Development status
The project got commissioned in September 2017.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Georgia Power under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years. The contracted capacity is 42MW.
Contractors involved
DCO Energy was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the biopower project.
Valmet supplied steam boiler for the project. The temperature witnessed inside the boiler is around 950Degree Fahrenheit. The steam is pressurized inside the boiler at 1,545psig.
Constellation Energy Generation is the O&M contractor for the project.
