GE Power has signed a contract with Fortress Transportation and Infrastructure Investors to supply its HA gas turbine technology for the Long Ridge Energy Generation Project in Hannibal, Ohio.
The gas turbine will be installed at the 485MW power plant to generate electricity that will fulfil the power needs of the industrial applications, and also supply reliable electricity to consumers.
Fortress Transportation and Infrastructure Investors CEO Joe Adams said: “We are excited to work together with GE, and thanks to its HA technology the Long Ridge Energy Generation LLC Project will provide efficient and low-cost energy for Ohio. The construction of the project will also provide new jobs in the greater Ohio community.”
Kiewit Power Constructors will build the power plant and complete it by November 2021.
GE Power will deliver a steam turbine and generator as well as one heat recovery generator for the project. It also signed a multi-year services agreement.
