By GlobalDataThe system monitors energy flows and has the ability to identify any losses by measuring general grid readings and consumption at supply points.
Furthermore, the system streamlines the identification of incidents in assets and determines an optimal route for field teams to access different points in the grid, thereby reducing power outage times, increase revenues and cut grid management costs.
The project scope also includes an upgrade of Indra’s geographic information system IGEA, which will see the addition of tools to gather information from the grid and facilitate access through mobile devices.
Additionally, the technology and consulting company will pilot an advanced grid management system at a group of substations, monitoring their output in real time and using the Internet of Things (IoT) devices to detect events liable to endanger these assets.
