Hitachi Energy has announced that it will supply its 380kV EconiQ gas-insulated lines (GIL) to enhance TenneT’s Maasbracht substation in the Netherlands.

The upgrade will maintain the reliability of the electricity supply in Maasbracht and cut the use of sulphur hexafluoride (SF6) gas in the transmission network.
