TP Saurya, a subsidiary of Tata Power Renewable Energy (TPREL), has commissioned a 200MW solar project in Bikaner, in the Indian state of Rajasthan.
The solar project is equipped with 523,365 solar modules and will generate 485 million units of energy annually, to be supplied to the Tata Power Trading Company.
This project will be integrated into the Central Transmission Utility Bus, ensuring improved distribution of clean energy throughout the region.
Despite facing extreme weather conditions including sandstorms, and geopolitical challenges, the project has been completed on time.
It will contribute to environmental sustainability by reducing annual carbon emissions by an estimated 388,000 tonnes.
TPREL’s total renewable capacity has now reached 9.01GW, including 4.5GW of projects under implementation and an operational capacity of 4.47GW. Its operational capacity comprises 3.44GW of solar and 1.02GW of wind energy.
