The project was developed by Neoenergia Renovaveis and is currently owned by Neoenergia with a stake of 100%.

Luzia Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 753 hectares.

The project generates 911GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 150,000 households, offsetting 65,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The project construction commenced in 2021 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in February 2023.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Claro Telecom Participacoes under a power purchase agreement for a period of 12 years, starting from 2022.

Contractors involved

Canadian Solar was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 228,780 modules at the site.

The project is utilising trackers supplied by STI Norland.
