Description

The project was developed by Helios Solar Energy and is currently owned by Vena Energy with a stake of 100%.

Cadiz Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 176 hectares.

The project generates 188,500MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 167,525 households, offsetting 94,627t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The project construction commenced in 2015 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in March 2016.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to National Transmission under a power purchase agreement. The power is sold at the rate of $0.171kWh for a period of 20.00 years, starting from 2016.

Contractors involved

Bouygues Construction was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

The solar PV modules for the project were supplied by JA Solar Holdings and Trina Solar.

The mounting systems have been supplied by Powerway Renewable Energy for the project.

Bouygues Energies & Services is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project for a period of 4 years.
