Description

The project was developed by AL Solar A, Clenera and Origis Energy. Boralex and Global Atlantic Financial Group are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 60% and 40% respectively.

LaFayette Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 1,100 acres.

The project generates 190,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 17,712 households, offsetting 86.832t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development status

The project got commissioned in March 2018.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Alabama Power under a power purchase agreement for a period of 28 years.

Contractors involved

Swinerton Renewable Energy was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

JinkoSolar (U.S.) was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 338,662 modules at the site.

SMA Solar Technology supplied 36 inverters to the project site.

The project is utilising single axis trackers supplied by NEXTracker.

Swinerton Renewable Energy is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project.
