Jindal Power plans to buy thermal power plants with a minimum capacity of 1,000MW to accelerate its plan to more than double its generation capacity in India.
The company said it is ready to purchase generators under construction that have assured coal supply, reports Bloomberg.

Jindal Power is among power producers rushing to add capacity to help reduce blackouts and sustain expansion in India and is currently building 6,500MW of coal-fired capacity.
