Description

The project was developed by Power Engineering Consulting 4 Joint Stock, Sarens and Trung Nam Wind Power. The project is currently owned by Trungnam Wind Power.

The project generates 432GWh electricity thereby offsetting 192,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The Tubular Steel towers installed at the Thuan Bac Wind Farm (Thuan Bac Phase I), site are 84.6m high.

The Tubular Steel towers installed at the Thuan Bac Wind Farm (Thuan Bac Phase II), site are 116m high.

The Tubular Steel towers installed at the Thuan Bac Wind Farm (Thuan Bac Phase III), site are 135m high.

Development status

The project is currently active. The project got commissioned in April 2019.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Vietnam Electricity under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years from 2019. The contracted capacity is 90MW.

Trungnam Group was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the Thuan Bac Wind Farm (Thuan Bac Phase I) project. Trungnam Group was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the Thuan Bac Wind Farm (Thuan Bac Phase II) project.

Thuan Bac Wind Farm (Thuan Bac Phase I) is equipped with Enercon E-103 EP2/ 2,350 kW turbines. The phase consists of 17 turbines with 2.35MW nameplate capacity.

Thuan Bac Wind Farm (Thuan Bac Phase II) is equipped with Enercon E-126 EP3 turbines. The phase consists of 16 turbines with 4MW nameplate capacity.

Thuan Bac Wind Farm (Thuan Bac Phase III) is equipped with Enercon E-126 EP3 turbines. The phase consists of 12 turbines with 4MW nameplate capacity.
