Description
The project is being developed by Apraava Energy. Apraava Energy and Caisse de depot et placement du Quebec are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 60% and 40% respectively.
The electricitiy generated from the plant will offset 828,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.
The Hybrid structure to be installed at the project site are expected to be 140m high.
Development status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2020. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by April 2023.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project will be sold to Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution under a power purchase agreement. The power will be sold at the rate of $0.038kWh for a period of 25 years, starting from 2023. The capacity to be procured is 250.8MW.

KP Energy and Suzlon Energy are expected to render engineering procurement construction services for the wind power project.

Dwarka Wind Farm_Apraava Energy (Dwarka Wind Farm_Apraava Energy- Phase II) will be equipped with Suzlon Energy S120-140 turbines. The phase consists of 14 turbines with 2.1MW nameplate capacity.
Dwarka Wind Farm_Apraava Energy (Dwarka Wind Farm_Apraava Energy- Phase III) will be equipped with Suzlon Energy S120-140 turbines. The phase consists of 12 turbines with 2.1MW nameplate capacity.
Dwarka Wind Farm_Apraava Energy (Dwarka Wind Farm_Apraava Energy- Phase IV) will be equipped with Suzlon Energy S120-140 turbines. The phase consists of 10 turbines with 2.1MW nameplate capacity.
Dwarka Wind Farm_Apraava Energy (Dwarka Wind Farm_Apraava Energy- Phase V) will be equipped with Suzlon Energy S120-140 turbines. The phase consists of 5 turbines with 2.1MW nameplate capacity.
Dwarka Wind Farm_Apraava Energy (Dwarka Wind Farm_Apraava Energy- Phase VI) will be equipped with Suzlon Energy S120-140 turbines. The phase consists of 12 turbines with 2.1MW nameplate capacity.
Dwarka Wind Farm_Apraava Energy (Dwarka Wind Farm_Apraava Energy- Phase VII) will be equipped with Suzlon Energy S120-140 turbines. The phase consists of 42 turbines with 2.1MW nameplate capacity.
Suzlon Energy is expected to perform operations and maintenance for the wind power project. The O&M tenure will likely be commencing from the year 2023.
