Description

The project is being developed by Parque Eolico Arauco SAPEM and Windar Renovables. The project is currently owned by Pampa Energia with a stake of 100%.

The electricitiy generated from the plant will offset 900,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the Arauco II Wind Farm (Arauco II Wind Farm - Phase I) will be sold to Cammesa under a power purchase agreement. The power will be sold at the rate of $0.067kWh for a period of 20 years, starting from 2020. The capacity to be procured is 99.75MW.

The power generated from the Arauco II Wind Farm (Arauco II Wind Farm - Phase IIA) will be sold to Cammesa under a power purchase agreement. The power will be sold at the rate of $0.056kWh for a period of 20 years, starting from 2023. The capacity to be procured is 67.45MW.

The power generated from the Arauco II Wind Farm (Arauco II Wind Farm - Phase IIB) will be sold to Cammesa under a power purchase agreement. The power will be sold at the rate of $0.056kWh for a period of 20 years. The capacity to be procured is 27.55MWh.

The power generated from the Arauco II Wind Farm (Arauco II Wind Farm - Phase III) will be sold to Cammesa under a power purchase agreement at the rate of $0.046kWh. The offtake capacity is expected to be 100MW.

Contractors involved

Arauco II Wind Farm (Arauco II Wind Farm - Phase I) will be equipped with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy G114-2.625 MW turbines. The phase consists of 38 turbines with 2.625MW nameplate capacity.

Arauco II Wind Farm (Arauco II Wind Farm - Phase IIA) will be equipped with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy G132-3.465 MW turbines. The phase consists of 19 turbines with 3.55MW nameplate capacity.

Arauco II Wind Farm (Arauco II Wind Farm - Phase IIB) will be equipped with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy G132-3.465 MW turbines. The phase consists of 9 turbines with 3.55MW nameplate capacity.

Arauco II Wind Farm (Arauco II Wind Farm - Phase III) will be equipped with Goldwind Science & Technology turbines. The phase consists of 22 turbines, each with 4.5MW nameplate capacity.
