The project is being developed by Building Energy, G7 renewable energies and Karreebosch Wind Farm. G7 renewable energies, Karreebosch Wind Farm and Red Rocket South Africa are currently owning the project.

Roggeveld Wind Farm (Roggeveld II) consists of 65 turbines.

The Concrete structure to be installed at the Roggeveld Wind Farm (Roggeveld IA), site are expected to be 100m high.

Development status

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the Roggeveld Wind Farm (Roggeveld IA) will be sold to Eskom Holdings SOC under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years.

Roggeveld Wind Farm (Roggeveld IA) will be equipped with Nordex AW125/3150 turbines. The phase consists of 40 turbines with 3.15MW nameplate capacity.

Nordex is expected to perform operations and maintenance for the Roggeveld Wind Farm (Roggeveld IA) for a period of 15 years.
