Description
The project is being developed by Eoliennes Belle-Riviere. Algonquin Power & Utilities, Others and Val-Eo Cooperative de solidarite are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 50%, 25% and 25% respectively.
The Val-Eo project (Val-Eo project Phase 1), will have 113m high towers.
Development status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2016. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by December 2021.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the Val-Eo project (Val-Eo project Phase 1) will be sold to Hydro-Quebec under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years.
Contractors involved
Enercon is expected to render engineering procurement construction services for the Val-Eo project (Val-Eo project Phase 1).
Val-Eo project (Val-Eo project Phase 1) will be equipped with Enercon E-126 EP3 turbines. The phase consists of 6 turbines with 4MW nameplate capacity.
