Description
The project is being developed by Empresa Electrica Paguipulli, Enel Green Power Chile and Parque Talinay Oriente. Enel Green Power, Enel Green Power Chile and Simest are currently owning the project.
The electricitiy generated from the plant will offset 1,200,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Talinay Wind Farm (Talinay Wind Farm II Stage 2) consists of 33 turbines with 3MW nameplate capacity.
Talinay Wind Farm (Talinay Wind Farm II Stage 3) consists of 35 turbines with 3MW nameplate capacity.
Talinay Wind Farm (Talinay Wind Farm II Stage 4) consists of 29 turbines with 3MW nameplate capacity.
Talinay Wind Farm (Talinay Wind Farm II Stage 5A) consists of 33 turbines with 3MW nameplate capacity.
Talinay Wind Farm (Talinay Wind Farm II Stage 5B) consists of 1 turbine with 2MW nameplate capacity.
Development status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2012. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2013.
Contractors involved
Talinay Wind Farm (Talinay Wind Farm I Stage 1) will be equipped with Vestas Wind Systems V100-2.0 MW turbines. The phase consists of 45 turbines with 2MW nameplate capacity.
Talinay Wind Farm (Talinay Wind Farm I Stage 2) will be equipped with Vestas Wind Systems V90 turbines. The phase consists of 32 turbines.
Vestas Wind Systems is expected to perform operations and maintenance for the Talinay Wind Farm (Talinay Wind Farm I Stage 1). The operation and maintenance contract tenure will likely be commencing from 2013, for a period of 3 years.
