Description

The project is being developed and currently owned by Corporacion Electrica Nacional and Petroleos de Venezuela. The owners have 50% stake in the project respectively.

The project is expected to supply enough clean energy to power 33,000 households, to offset 150,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The Paraguana Wind Farm (Paraguana Wind Farm IA), will have 85m high towers.

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy is expected to render engineering procurement construction services for the wind power project.

Paraguana Wind Farm (Paraguana Wind Farm IA) will be equipped with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy AE-90 turbines. The phase consists of 24 turbines with 1.32MW nameplate capacity.

Paraguana Wind Farm (Paraguana Wind Farm IB) will be equipped with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy AE-61 turbines. The phase consists of 11 turbines with 1.32MW nameplate capacity.

Paraguana Wind Farm (Paraguana Wind Farm II) will be equipped with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy AE-90 turbines. The phase consists of 41 turbines with 1.32MW nameplate capacity.

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy is expected to perform operations and maintenance for the wind power project. The operation and maintenance contract tenure will likely be commencing from 2012, for a period of 2 years.
