Description

The project was developed by Orsted Onshore North America, Pattern Energy Group and Wind Quarry. The project is co-owned by Energy Capital Partners and Orsted Onshore North America, with their respective ownership stake of 50% each.

The project generates 450,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 40,000 households.

The Tubular Steel towers installed at the project site are 79.6m high.

The project is currently active. The project got commissioned in September 2020.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to North Iowa Municipal Electric Cooperative Association under a power purchase agreement with a contracted capacity is 46MW.

Contractors involved

GE Renewable Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The wind power project consists of 38 turbines.
