The project was developed by Energy Research Centre of the Netherlands and Vestas Wind Systems. Connected Infrastructure Capital and Energy Research Centre of the Netherlands are currently owning the project.

The ECN Testpark (ECN Testpark I), has 80m high towers.

The ECN Testpark (ECN Testpark III), has 100m high towers.

The ECN Testpark (ECN Testpark VII), has 117m high towers.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the ECN Testpark (ECN Testpark I) is sold to Vattenfall under a power purchase agreement, starting from 2003.

Vestas Wind Systems was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the ECN Testpark (ECN Testpark VII).

ECN Testpark (ECN Testpark I) is equipped with Nordex N80 (2.5 MW) turbines. The phase consists of 5 turbines with 2.5MW nameplate capacity.

ECN Testpark (ECN Testpark II) is equipped with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SWT-3.6-120 turbine. The phase consists of 1 turbine with 3.6MW nameplate capacity.

ECN Testpark (ECN Testpark III) is equipped with XEMC Darwind XD115-5MW turbine. The phase consists of 1 turbine with 5MW nameplate capacity.

ECN Testpark (ECN Testpark IV) is equipped with GE Renewable Energy turbine. The phase consists of 1 turbine with 2.5MW nameplate capacity.

ECN Testpark (ECN Testpark V) is equipped with GE Renewable Energy turbine. The phase consists of 1 turbine with 2.7MW nameplate capacity.

ECN Testpark (ECN Testpark VI) is equipped with GE Renewable Energy turbines. The phase consists of 2 turbines, each with 3.2MW nameplate capacity.

ECN Testpark (ECN Testpark VII) is equipped with Vestas Wind Systems V126-3.45MW turbines. The phase consists of 8 turbines with 3.8MW nameplate capacity.

ECN Testpark (ECN Testpark VIII) is equipped with GE Renewable Energy turbine. The phase consists of 1 turbine with 4.2MW nameplate capacity.

Nordex and Vestas Wind Systems were contracted to render operations & maintenance services for the project.
