Description

The project was developed by Drift Sand Wind Project. The project is co-owned by Enel Green Power North America and General Electric, with their respective ownership stake of 50% each.

The project generates 480GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 39,000 households, offsetting 348,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Arkansas Electric Cooperative under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years. The contracted capacity is 108MW.

Contractors involved

Vestas Wind Systems was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 54 units of V110-2.0 MW turbines, each with 2MW nameplate capacity.
