Description

The project was developed by EDF Energies Nouvelles Mexico S de RL de CV and Eolia Renovables de Inversiones SCR. The project is co-owned by EDF Energies Nouvelles Mexico S de RL de CV and Mitsui, with their respective ownership stake of 50% each.

The project generates 641,240MWh electricity thereby offsetting 417,787t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Grupo Herdez and Wal-Mart de Mexico SAB de CV are the power offtakers from the project.

Contractors involved

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 82 units of G80-2.0 MW turbines, each with 2MW nameplate capacity.
