Description
The project was developed by Gulf SRC. Gulf Energy Development and Mitsui & Co. (Thailand) are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 70% and 30% respectively.
It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant that is used for Baseload. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Diesel Oil. The fuel is procured from PTT Public Company Limited.

The project construction commenced in 2018 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in March 2021.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years, starting from 2021.
Contractors involved
MHI Power Project (Thailand), Mitsubishi Power and Sino-Thai Engineering & Construction Public were selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the gas fired power project.
Mitsubishi Power was selected as the turbine supplier for thermal power project. The project consists of 8 turbines.
