Description
The project was developed by Khanom Electricity Generating. Others, Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand, JERA, Diamond Generating Asia and Kyuden International are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 50.66%, 25.41%, 11.97%, 5.98% and 5.98% respectively.
It is a CCGT with Cogen power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Diesel. The fuel is procured from PTT Natural Gas Distribution Company Limited (PTT NGD).
Development status
The project got commissioned in June 2016.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years.
