Description
The project is being developed by Samcheok Blue Power. NongHyup Bank, POSCO Energy, Doosan Enerbility, POSCO Engineering & Construction and Others are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 53.53%, 29%, 9%, 5% and 3.47% respectively.
It is a Steam Turbine power plant. The power plant can run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant will be bituminous coal. In case of shortage of bituminous coal the plant will run on Sub Bituminous Coal.
Development status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2018. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by April 2024.
Contractors involved
Doosan Enerbility and POSCO Engineering & Construction are expected to render engineering procurement construction services for the coal fired power project.
