Description

The project is being developed by Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam and is currently owned by Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam with a stake of 100%.

It is a Steam Turbine power plant. The fuel will be procured from South Eastern Coalfields Limited-Korba, Parsa & Kante Colleries Ltd.-Ambikapur.

The project will generate 3,158,449MWh of electricity.

Chhabra Thermal Power Station (Chhabra Thermal Power Station Stage III Unit I & II) consists of 2 steam turbine with 660MW nameplate capacity.

Development status

Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in June 2010.

Ajmer Vidyut Vitran Nigam, Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam and Jodhpur Vidyut Vitran Nigam are expected to be the power offtakers from the project.
