Description
The project is being developed by Gulf PD. Gulf Energy Development and Mitsui & Co. (Thailand) are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 70% and 30% respectively.
It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The power plant can run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant will be natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant will run on Diesel.
Development status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2019. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by March 2023.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project will be sold to Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years, starting from 2023.
