Description

The project was developed by South Negros BioPower and is currently owned by ThomasLloyd Group with a stake of 100%.

The project generates 185GWh electricity thereby offsetting 85,498t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The process of combustion has been adopted in this project to release the stored energy from the feed. Agricultural by-product and wood by-product are used as a feedstock to power the project.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to National Transmission under a power purchase agreement. The power is sold at the rate of $0.15kWh for a period of 20 years.

Contractors involved

Poyry Energy was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the biopower project.

Harbin Turbine was selected as the steam turbine supplier for the project. The company provided 1 unit of Condensing Steam Turbine turbine with 25MW nameplate capacity.

Wuxi Huaguang Boiler supplied steam boiler for the project. The boiler installed at the site has a capacity of 110TPH. The temperature witnessed inside the boiler is around 540°C. The steam is pressurized inside the boiler at 88bar.Shandong Jinan Power Equipment Factory supplied the electric generator for the project.

Poyry Energy is the O&M contractor for the project.
